I was doing a little browsing on Walmart.com and noticed that they had the Spa Sensations 8″ Memory Foam Mattress on sale. At first I kinda thought – eh…is it really that good of a deal and then I saw the reviews.
I am big on reading what others think about a product before I buy and about fell over when I read “952 out of 1,000 customers would recommend this product to a friend.” 4.5 stars is a rarity on any item!

I figured I would check out the Woot Deal while I was looking at the kid’s deal and I am not sure if I am happy or sad that I did.
I am in tax mode at the moment, I actually stayed up very late last night trying to gather all the items that my accountant will need to file my business and personal taxes. I am a fairly organized person – or so I thought! There is just so much to organize and save and he want so much stuff! I told myself that I was going to come up with a better system so that this time next year I am not stressing out like this!
What do I see when I check out the Woot deal for today? They have the NeatDesk Desktop Scanner and Digital Filing System that I have been drooling over for quite some time! This baby is almost $400 elsewhere and today Woot has a refurbished model for only $249.99
I just love that you can scan everything in and even export the info directly to QuickBooks (or other financial software). I am thinking I may have to grab this one or I will be kicking myself this time next year!

Walgreens Prescription Savings Club Information & Discount

Most of us don’t stop to think about how prescription plans work. We just expect them to work and provide value when we need it.
Recently Walgreens and Express Script were unable to come to an agreement and chose to end their contract. Express Scripts Inc. pays Walgreen and other drugstore operators to fill prescriptions. This may mean change for you if you have used Walgreens for your pharmacy needs. Walgreens announced that it is taking several steps to help patients covered by an Express Scripts pharmacy network to continue to use Walgreens locations.
Many patients under an Express Scripts plan have used Walgreens pharmacies for years and have a personal relationship with their Walgreens pharmacist. To help transition this change, the folks at Walgreens plan on increasing staffing at its call center and making computer system changes to help transfer multiple prescriptions at once. They are also offering a discount during January on the membership fee for the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.
Only patients with certain prescription insurance plans managed by Express Scripts are impacted. To see if you are affected by the change, you can ask your local Walgreens pharmacist or just check the back of your prescription insurance card – if it has Express Scripts’ name there, then you may be affected.
Express Scripts wants customers to use their own mail order pharmacy business instead of your community pharmacy whenever possible. This could threaten all community drugstores in your area. I am not sure that is a feasible option for many of us at all times. Being a mom who has had to stop by the pharmacy at 2 am, I look to my local pharmacy to be there for me when I need it at a price I can afford.
The Walgreens Prescription Savings Club may be a great option for you and your family. For only $10 a year the family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents (22 and younger) and pets. Also, individuals may join the program for $5.
When you join, you’ll receive discount prices on your prescriptions as well as other benefits. These benefits include:
- Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications
- Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies
