Vistit A Georgia State Park

Kim forwarded me  a bunch of fantastic deals for all my local folks.

• If you have a library card from a Georgia public library, you can check out a ParkPass and Historic Site Pass, just like you would check out a book.  You ll enjoy free parking at Georgia state parks and free admission to State Historic Sites.
• Wednesdays are free at state parks.  The normal $5 parking fee is waived, and visitors can enjoy a day filled with boating, hiking, picnicking and more!
• Frequent state park visitors can purchase an Annual ParkPass for $50, which means they do not pay the daily $5 parking fee.  An even better deal is a membership to Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites.  The cost is the same ($50) and members get additional discounts as well.
• Seniors 62 and older save 50% on Annual ParkPasses (normally $50), and 20% off camping, cottages, lodge rooms and golf (restrictions apply).
•  Many ranger programs, such as fishing rodeos, snake shows and guided hikes, are free.  All visitors pay is the $5 parking fee.

If you are looking for a fun frugal idea for those last few weeks of summer consider visiting a state park…the kids will have a blast and you will save some major moolah!!
