New Kmart Booklet

Christie over at Big Fat Piggy Bank found a great booklet at Kmart.  Apparently Kmart is offering an incentive for customers to put toys on layaway. They are offering $10 off a Hasbro merchandise purchase of $50 or more. The discount is only for the toys listed in the brochure and they must be placed into layaway to get the $10 off . The coupon is good till the end of November.

New Kmart Program For Unemployed Customers

I got an email from Kmart announcing a new program they are offering – Kmart Smart Assist.  They are offering 20% Kmart brand items to those who are unemployed. Now– we all know that you can save more on brand name items using coupons…but I thought this might be helpful if you are unemployed as there are not necessarily coupons available at all times for everything you need!  Here is the info from the site:

20% Off Select Own-Brand Merchandise for Unemployed Customers

Kmart own-brands give you huge savings versus your favorite national brands every day…and now you’ll get to increase those savings by an additional 20% off over 1,500 regular-priced grocery and drugstore items for up to six months!

Eligibility:

Kmart customers who present state-issued identification (driver’s license or identification card) and a state-issued unemployment benefits enrollment confirmation are eligible to participate in the program (“Eligible Participants”). At checkout, cardholders will be required to show their valid discount card, their state-issued identification card for signature verification and their state-issued unemployment benefits enrollment verification. Valid signature verification is required to use the card.
