kmart Kmart Super Doubles Are You Guys Participating??

I have not decided if I am going to hit Kmart Super Doubles this week…as I am just not thrilled by the 5 coupon limit per day!! My store is 20 minutes away so unless I just happen to be out and about it is just not worth my time to drive over for five cheap/free items!! Any of you guys shopping??

Mandie over at I Heart Coupon Deals has a great list HERE that you can check out.  She spent a ton of time walking the store doing price checks–so if you are planning on hitting the sale visit Mandie to make sure you get the best deals!

Thanks a bunch Mandie!

As usual, not available in Orlando :(

I did here in St. Augustine, FL. But, I found that some of the prices of items have been raised so that they are no longer free with double coupons. But, the items that I did buy worked fine. The register automatically doubled my coupons when the cashier scanned them.

I’m in the same boat…my kmart is like 20 minutes away and its in a section of town that I don’t go to often. So i highly doubt that I would go. If it wasnt a 5 coupon limit then I would make a trip out there.

I went last night and did two transactions. I used my card and my husbands card. Here’s how it went:
    1st transaction:
    5 Quilted Northern TP (7.49 each) = $37.45
    1 Dixie Cups (3.79) = 3.79
    total = 41.24
    minus 4 $1.00 QN TP Q’s doubled to $2.00
    minus 1 .50 QN TP Q doubled to $1.00
minus .35 dixie cup Q (does not double since I had 6 Q’s)
    total = 31.89
I also received a catalina for $10 off my next purchase since I bought $30 worth of specific brands AND I qualified for the $5 back from GP for buying $20 worth of qualifying brands.

    transaction #2
    3 packs of bic razors (3.49 each) = 10.47
    2 gillette mens body wash (4.00 each) = 8.00
    total 18.47
    minus 3/$2.00 bic Q
    minus 2/$2.00 gillette Q’s (doubles to 4)
total FREE (I had to pay .68 for taxes)

I plan on going back tonight to get some more things. You can’t beat free!

Luckily I am over in the general vicinity of my local Kmart almost daily because school and church are out there…but it’s still a pain having to go every day this week to make the most of it.

I wonder if they’d consider a 35-coupon limit PERIOD for a week…that way you can get all your shopping done in one day and save your gas!

Not worth the drive-even though its only 15 min. not a big fan and their prices are still ridiculous!

I did the Gillette bodywash deal as well, along with Revlon nail clippers, Softscrub Total Kitchen Cleaner, and All detergent (the one I was most excited for) — I paid tax only, .89. It helps that there’s a Kmart on my way home (Miami), and the staff there seems pretty nice.

When it comes to K-Mart, it’s all a gamble. I think it all depends on the store, the cashier and evidently the register. I only had one issue and it was with a $1.50 off coupon for purchasing 4 ravioli’s. The coupon didn’t double and I think it was because it was being tied to a $1.00 can versus being tied to 4 $1.00 cans. I didn’t buy those, but got some awesome deals on other things. You have to watch the register screen so close because the cashier doesn’t keep up with it to make sure it is right. I plan on going back tomorrow to get my mom some pet items.

I just went to K Mart this evening w/ my bf and we thought it would be a walk in the park. We had 2 transactions, one on my bf’s card and the other on mine. I purchased before coupons $25 worth of P&G to supposedly qualify us for the $10 mastercard but nothing printed. When I asked the cashier about it she said it should be $25 after all coupons and sales tax and direct the question to customer service so they can explain it to me more. His total after coupons were around $10. Which is not so bad but it should have been free if we got the $10 mastercard rebate. So my next transaction was variety of things but definitely I had 5 coupons to be doubled and 1 coupon that is not doubled. I was wondering when my total was around $15. I know that I purchased less than that, i even asked the cashier if she scanned all my coupons and said yes (w/ an attitude). Sure enough when I checked my receipt after it printed only 3 coupons were scanned and doubled. I complained at the customer service and they had NO IDEA that kmart is having a double coupon this week. We kept on going back and forth as to how many coupons were scanned. They saw 6 coupons which is actually 3 coupons that are doubled so total of 6. But they keep on insisting that 6 coupons were scanned. Finally after long agony of trying to figure out what to do, I decided to just return the items I had just bought. It is so frustrating because they don’t know what to do. Finally a lady came and did the return but even with that, it took us more than an hour to buy those stuff and finally returning the items. My only thing is, employees should be educated on what the promotions are so they know how to better assist customers but unfortunately they dont. I will go ahead and email corporate and see their response. It is the K Mart at Greenbelt, MD by the way.

I did a little on Sunday. But there is a part of me that says You want to pay what for that. Their prices are ridiculous. Thankfully I live right across the street.

My Kmart is also about 20 minutes away, but I had to go into town anyway so I tried today. I followed all the guidelines from Kmart (corporate) and other bloggers and went in very prepared. I even asked at Customer Service on the way in to make SURE they knew they were participating. I was assured that they were.

After spending well over an hour finding matchups that were a good fit for our family, I went back to Customer Service to check out. I matched up the coupons to their corresponding items and handed them over already matched, but NOT EVEN ONE OF MY COUPONS DOUBLED! It didn’t matter if they were Internet prints or from inserts. I was so frustrated! The cashier said that they weren’t supposed to be participating (It’s supposed to be only for Super Kmarts? They were ON the list!) and that they weren’t doubling the $2.00 coupons (only $1.99 and under) and that most of the coupons under $2.00 still wouldn’t double. She said customers were only having luck with coupons for cleaning items! She said she was sorry, but that there was nothing she could do! I said, “Well, I can’t say that I wasn’t warned about Kmart being flaky.” Her response, “Yeah! We are!”

I had *planned* to go back another day to use P&G coupons so that I could do the $10 rebate for $25 in P&G purchases, but that is NOT going to happen. I don’t trust that the rebate will even print!!! (I see from one of the commments above that my gut instinct on this is accurate!)

Uggh! First the $10 off $20 fiasco (They acted like that was OUR fault!), then this! I will no longer bother with Kmart’s special promotions and I will warn my blog readers to proceed with caution!

For those of you who DID have success with this, I’m so glad. It must be nice to have a Kmart that gets it right! LOL!

Easter Sunday I went to my Kmart in Pace FL. They were participating and I even called to make sure. Well I had a $2 off Oral B Crossaction coupon so I expected to get the toothbrush for free as it was $3.99. My coupon scanned and then she scanned it for $1.50. I asked her why she didn’t scan it as a double. Another employee said that the item was under $4.00 and they couldn’t double it as it was only $3.99. They scanned the double coupon as $1.50. Now that I think about it I should have asked why they didn’t scan it for $1.99 as they were able to price adjust the coupon for $1.50. The prices at KMart are very high (now I see why noone shops there). I was not impressed with this ‘deal’. I don’t know if I will go back at all this week. I did use 5 coupons but I wasn’t impressed very much. Couldn’t find anything that I should have gotten aboslutely for free. OK, I just closely inspected my receipt. I was able to get Soft Scrub priced at $2.99 for free with a $1.50 coupon. They scanned it at $1.50 and then $1.49. What’s up with that? Maybe I will try one more time. I’ll look closely at my coupons to see what may be free. All the high value coupons for shampoo etc. even at $4 (doubled $2)would not have given me a free item because they only carried the larger size of that item (the one closer to $7.) Wonder if they took alll the smaller ones off the shelves so people couldn’t get them for free? Just a thought.

  13. Chad says:

use the crunch and clean dog bone coupons one per trip, you will get a catalina for 2.00 off milkbone which you can in turn get free milkbones so if you have two coupons you can get four free boxes of bones…

  14. Trish says:

No way in the world am I even gonna TRY to do this deal. I’m so sick of Kmart I could scream. Unless they are giving away items for free, I will NEVER shop there again.

  15. kelli says:

1 Right Guard deodorant, 2 bags of Bic razors, and 2 packages of Stayfree pads = .68 (I had to pay tax)

  16. Jennifer says:

    TRANS 1: 2 Visine, 2 Lip Smackers and 1 Degree for Men = $1.04
    TRANS 2: 2 Dove Deoderant, 2 Suave Deoderant 2 Frosted Mini Wheats = $2.85
Now, it wasn’t easy. I went in and asked for the rules. I was told no limit on number of Qs and they all doubled. So I gathered up LOTS of stuff, they rang it up, used all my Qs and the total was about $35. I knew it was wrong. They voided my order and we started over. I gave them one item and they scanned one Q. Then another item and another Q. We did that until we got to Q number 6 which didn’t double. THEN they realize it is a 5Q limit. So they voided the order AGAIN and we started over again. 5 items and 5 Qs. Doing it that way and keeping an eye on the screen, it wasn’t too bad the 2nd TRANS. I plan on going back tomorrow for 10 more items. (My hubby and I each have a card)You just can’t beat FREE!!
