More Toy Deals!!

My 3 year old started preschool today. This is a good thing and possibly a bad thing. He loved it but I had 3 hours to kill…so, my 2 year old and I went shopping! Good thing he is only there twice a week for 3 hours 
I headed to Target as there have been reports of the Leap Frog Tag system being found for less than $13 and there is a $10 printable HERE. Although my son has this, I thought it would make an awesome gift for less than $3…but I wasn’t able to find one!
So…I decided to go to Kmart–I hit the mother load 
I actually would have done even better if I had more of the $3/1 Tag book coupons HERE (I already printed and used them!) But -I am not sad as I was able to get $120+ (retail price) of Leap Frog products for a whopping $26.73 out of pocket AND I still have a $5 catalina to spend later!! Look at what I got:
Kmart has a great deal going on: when you purchase a Leap Frog book, game or learning toy you’ll get a $5 catalina good on your next $5+ Leap Frog book, game or learning toy! So I purchased a Tag book that was clearanced for $4.80 and got a $5 catalina. I then used it to pay for another item and then got another catalina…so the coupon rolls! To maximize the deal make sure and purchase each item separately as you will only get one catalina per transaction and you can only use one catalina as a form of payment per transaction! With all the fabulous toy deals I can honestly say that I have most of my Christmas shopping DONE!

Do you know when the deal ends? Did youhave to go back a bunch of times or just made different transactions at the same register?
Also, is this in their ad? or is it a hidden deal? I was just wondering whether it is regional or not.
I tried it in So. Florida yesterday, and found a Reading Pen on sale for 24.98 at Target, so 14.98 with the Q. I asked an assistant manager about it, and she said that each store had different sales (didn’t make sense to me, but oh well). I doubt my ability to do any better, since the stores I checked were all cleaned out. Our Kmart did not have the deal on the books — I did price checks on multiple books with a cashier. I will keep checking there, as it is very close to our house.
I was wondering if you would mind to show how you made the purchases. Did you use a coupon on the tag case? Thanks!
My printer at work only prints in black and white. Do they accept them only in color?

Thanks for the info. Last week, I did find 3 Leapfrog Tags on clearance for $24.98 at Target each. I did not know about the coupon for $10 off until today. Do you think if I return it, then rebuy it with my coupon, I’ll get one for $14.98?

#4 i say book and tag box (b/c book was not over $5) used $5 cat paid $7.85
#5 thomas used $5 cat paid $4.03 -cat printed
total = $26.73 with 1 cat to use later
I am not sure how long the deal lasts–but my cat does not expire until 11/15/09

What coupon did you use to get the storage case seen in your picture? How much was the storage case priced before coupons?
Can you print them as they appear on that page and have them work? I was trying to find a barcode or something because I was afraid that my retailer wouldn’t take them if they did not have a barcode on them. Thanks!

The storage case was $6.40 and I did not use any MQ’s just the $5 Cat (transaction #4 above)
Hey Jennifer I am not sure which coupons you are referring to…all the ones listed above will have a bar code once you click on the appropriate link (listed as print retail coupon).
I did two transactions today both with leap frog books and no cats printed. I live in Oregon do you think that this is state specific? The books ended up $1.80 each after the $3 coupon but I was disappointed that I didn’t receive a cat.
Today I bought a Tag Jr. book and no catalina printed. Is the catalina deal over?

Does anyone have an idea how I can get my cats. from the transactions? Are the cats state specific….is that maybe why mine didn’t print?
I went on Sunday and didn’t get any Cats either. Boo! I’ll have to check back today and see if anything is left. KMart here is notorious for not putting the correct price on things so maybe there’s more on sale than I thought.
Anyone in Missouri doing this deal and getting a catalina? I tried today w/ a Tag book…it was clearanced for $4.80 used a $4 off Q so paid $.86 OOP after tax. I know this is a great price and shouldn’t complain, but I am wanting a catalina, too! Let me know if anyone from Missouri has done this and received the catalina. Thanks!
