In the ad scans for the sale that begins on Sunday at CVS there is a note to check your receipts the first time you use your CVS ExtraCare Card in August . You’ll find a coupon for a free gift at the bottom of your register receipt. I think last year I think I got a little purse sized hand sanitizer…but hey–FREE is fine with me!!

I got some mouthwash…I wonder if they were trying to say something about me ;0) The manager was checking me out because there was a little confusion with the register, but she asked if I would be willing to take a phone survey and I said sure since she is always nice to me with all my coupons. She really seemed to appreciate it and brought out a basket with a bunch of CVS brand grabbies and told me to pick one as a thank you for being willing to do the survey. Nice store
I got a free roll of CVS paper towels. Nice.
I got CVS chapstick, I am saving it for a Christmas stocking stuffer! The lady in front of me in line got a CVS hand lotion.
I got the chapstick too, but it says up to .99 and the chapsticks are currently $1.29. I am NOT paying .30 for a “free” chapstick.
